Life and death are in the power of the tongue

Updated: Oct 28, 2020

"What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words." Proverbs 18:21 (Good News Translation).

Isn't it wonderful when conversations flow freely; discussing idea’s, reminiscing, building relationships and delving into the depths of the souls of those around us. But sometimes interactions can be a lot more challenging as though the chain has fallen off the bicycle and you are left peddling against the resistance.

There are many explanations offered for this; lack of chemistry, incompatibility or even the ego not allowing the conscience to be open to new ideas.

During these moments it is easy to start speaking from a low frequency. Just to keep the conversation "light" there can be a tendency to get caught up in the humdrum gossip of he said/she said, or the careless moans and groans of recounting a call to tax office.

But why reciprocate a powerless conversation with more low vibration chatter? Surely it would be more liberating to stand in our truth and counteract the moans and groans by adding hope, enlightening knowledge or support to the discussion.

But it can be challenging to keep sharing optimistic anecdotes, especially when people become insulting. Any empath can feel the anger behind passive aggressive remarks and. So what then? "Turn the other cheek?" "Defend yourself?" only to then be accused of, "being defensive"... Or perhaps throw some sarcastic jibes back and then justify them by calling them "jokes" There are so many crazy mechanisms that have become part of the way humans communicate. God has awoken us for a reason,

When you are set free, your first responsibility is to stay free and help set others free!

It is up to us, the empaths, the light-workers and the truth seekers to spread love remembering that words are of the utmost importance, bringing either life or death spiritually and physically! Words create either encouragement or despair, love or hate, nurture or pain, truth or lies, light or dark, success or disappointment. Words have the ability to stop arguments as well as to start or continue them. Words have the ability to shape our dreams or to drown them out and not just in talking to others, but just as importantly in the mental chatter that we tell ourselves!
