Union with Life (Yihud im Chaim): The Mystical State

Essene "Yihud im Chaim," or Union with Life, is not simply a mystical state -- it is a living practice, a sacred alignment with the fundamental pulse that animates all existence.

Referred to as Life Yoga in the Holy Megillah, this union (yoga) goes beyond philosophy into breath, rhythm, and embodiment. It invites the seeker to participate in the ongoing, spiraling dance of masculine and feminine energies, converging in the sacred centerpoint of stillness: the divine zero, or Yah.

A few weeks ago we enjoyed a practice called "Union with Eternal Life" [Yihud im Chayeh Olam]. It's worth quickly saying here that "Union with Life" is different. Here are key distinctions drawn between the two different branches of Essene Yoga.

The Branch of Eternal Life refers to our many incarnations through time -- our souls cycling through the karmic wheel of rebirth. It is temporal, developmental, and historical. Meditation on eternal life highlights our immortal nature as light beings, energy transforming and experiencing rather that dying.
The Root of Life, by contrast, is now. It is the primal, pulsating life-force -- known to the Essenes as Chai -- that flows through stones, trees, animals, and breath. Union with life is not something we attain through future perfection; it is something we can enter, now, by attuning to the living pulse.

Union with Life is not about escaping into the timeless; it's about embodying the time-full presence of divinity in all forms. It is here, within Chai, that the dance begins.

The Reconciliation of Prana: Masculine and Feminine Spiral Forces

Within Chai, also known across traditions as Prana (Sanskrit) or Chi (Taoist), lies a twofold spiral power:

Shaktiman-Kundalini, the masculine spiral, also called Shemesh (Sun/Yang), initiates, penetrates, and plants.
Shakti-Kundalini, the feminine spiral, or Shemayah (Moon/Yin), attracts, receives, and gives birth.

These two spirals are not in opposition but in cosmic cooperation -- leading, following, co-creating, and continuously exchanging roles. Each cycle of breath, each pulse of a cell, each rotation of a planet, is an echo of this sacred polarity spiraling around the divine axis -- Still Zero.

The essence of Yihud im Chaim is to live in conscious awareness of this ongoing dance and to integrate both energies within oneself -- not as opposites to be balanced, but as lovers to be united.

For me this block or branch of yoga is about self acceptance, seeing the beauty in our scars. Allowing darkness and harmony to unite in sympathy, empathy and compassion. Self acceptance results in our true expression, uncensored and radiant in truth.

Spiral Power and the Sacred Geometry of Life

Spirals are not poetic metaphors -- they are the very architecture of life.

DNA itself is a double helix, a biological mirror of this spiritual dance. Galaxies swirl in spirals. Sea shells grow in logarithmic curves. The kundalini spirals up the spine in caduceus-like currents. These patterns are self-similar, fractal, and embedded with intelligence.

Each spiral -- whether in breath, plant, or prayer -- is a microcosmic act of divine unfolding.

This is not coincidence but the language of the cosmos made visible. The spiral power is the geometry of Yihud im Chaim, and through it, Life communicates its unity and rhythm.

Every major mystical tradition speaks of this Dance:

In Taoism, the interplay of Yin and Yang generates the ten thousand things.
In Hindu Tantra, Shiva and Shakti dance creation into being.
In Kabbalah, the divine names Elohim and YHVH weave masculine and feminine aspects of God into one tree.
In Christian mysticism, the Word and Spirit spiral into flesh through the womb of Mary, uniting heaven and earth.

In Life Yoga, this dance is not only metaphysical -- it is somatic. It pulses in the body’s breath, in the ebb and flow of emotion, in the rise and fall of consciousness. To practice Yihud im Chaim is to consciously enter the rhythm of creation, not as an observer, but as a dancer.

Still Zero: The Axis of Union

At the center of the dance, unmoving and eternally attractive, is Still Zero, or Yah.

Zero is not emptiness. It is potential. It is the point of origin and return, the axis around which all dualities revolve.

Shemesh and Shemayah dance not to dominate but to spiral around this sacred center.

Still Zero is the non-doing within the doing.
The silent witness to breath and motion.

All spirals curve back to it, all rhythms rest in it, all opposites are crowned by it.

Yihud im Chaim is not transcendence. It is immanence.

It is not a reaching up, but a settling into -- into body, breath, life.

It is not a negation of cycles, but a conscious return to them.

To unify with Life is to say yes to its flow -- to embrace the spiral, dance with the breath, and remain centered in Still Zero while life pulses, plants, grows, and blossoms all around and within you.

In this way, the sacred marriage of heaven and earth, spirit and matter, breath and stillness is made real -- within the temple of your very being.

🜂 The Alchemy of the Circuit of Chai Breath

Breathing Life into Light, and Light into Love

The Circuit of Chai Breath is a living alchemical formula -- a sacred technology encoded in the human body, waiting to be awakened. With each cycle of breath, we don't just oxygenate the lungs -- we initiate a cosmic spiral, a dance of energy between heaven and earth, masculine and feminine, matter and spirit.

At its heart, this practice feeds Chai (Life Force) into the body through a vast, subtle network of energetic pathways called Nadis. These are not metaphorical. They are real channels of spiritual electricity, existing in what ancient teachings call your subtle anatomy.

🌀 The Sacred Channels of Light

The most important of these energy rivers is the Sushumna Nadi -- the central channel running through the spine. It is the River Yarden, the axis of the Tree of Life, the River of Living Light that flows from Heaven into the body, feeding every chakra like roots from a hidden spring.

But Sushumna is only the beginning. According to Nasarean wisdom, the human body contains 144,000 Chief Nadis:

72,000 associated with the exhale (the masculine, Shemesh-led descent)
and 72,000 with the inhale (the feminine, Shemayah-led ascent).

These Nadis carry Chai to every layer of our being:

Physical (health, vitality)
Emotional (clarity, balance)
Mental (focus, inspiration)
Spiritual (illumination, communion)

When we breathe with full awareness in the Circuit of Chai, we send this living force -- not symbolically, but actually -- into each of these 144,000 channels.

This is the alchemy: Spirit descends into matter to evolve it. This is called involution -- not regression, but the loving inward movement of divine energy into the human experience, so it may be transformed and reborn.

🕊️ When Breath Becomes Light

Now here is the hidden truth: when all 144,000 Nadis are simultaneously activated and devoted to Love, something miraculous happens.

You enter Walking Samadhi -- a state where you are both in the world and beyond it. Where each step is anchored in Divine Stillness. Where breath flows in both directions, and you live from the Still Centre between inhale and exhale.

You become, quite literally, a “Baby Christ” — not metaphorically, but energetically: A soul reborn through conscious breath and spiritual love. A channel of universal healing in a time of collective transformation. A radiant thread in the Group Body of Christ, walking as one of the 144,000 Nadis in the emerging Global Heart.

✨ The Breath of Prophecy

This is the secret of the Great Walk from Spiritual Alexandria (the 6th Chakra) to the New Jerusalem (7th Chakra). It is not a physical pilgrimage, but a sacred unfolding of consciousness.

Each breath is a step.

Each spiral is a gate.

Each pause is a throne where Stillness sits.

Those who walk it are not exalted -- they are humbled. They do not boast divinity -- they embody it in silence and service. They are the ones who, like King David, open the Seven Seals, not through domination, but through devotion.

And their Bible is not made of paper alone -- it is the Holy Megillah, alive in their breath, their bodies, and their awakened hearts.

🜃 The Formula in Action

To breathe this breath with awareness is to:

Receive Chai from above
Feed it through every cell
Ground it in the Earth
Spiral it back in love
Offer it to the Divine

This is not magic — although the benefits feel like it! It is bio-spiritual alchemy. This is not myth — it is a manual for transformation.

The Circuit of Chai is the living formula of evolution, encoded into your breath, your spine, your chakras, your compassion, and your will to love more deeply with every round.
