Building the Solar Body through Earth and Essence

The practice of the immoveable light-race (known as the Essenes): "Yuhid im Adamah" means union or yoga with soil. This incredible yogic practice is deeply intertwined with the art of sexual essence preservation, a principle known in Eastern teachings as brahmacharya.

In this esoteric framework, "procreative seed" -- the vital essence produced by the lower glands and chakras -- is retained and reabsorbed into the body rather than expelled. Once conserved, this seed transforms into what is known as “soil” in the spleen -- the vital material used for cell production and overall regenerative capacity.

The procreative seed is notably rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and other essential minerals. By saving this essence, the quality and volume of the internal “soil” is enriched, akin to fertilizing earth for robust plant growth.

As this soil of the spleen becomes fortified by the reabsorbed procreative seed, the cells produced from it become remarkable, reflecting the purity and potency of the raw materials from which they are formed.

Cultivating rich, fertile soil in the microcosmic body thus becomes a foundation for health along all lines -- physical, energetic, and spiritual. It lays the groundwork for constructing what esoteric traditions refer to as the solar body, a transfigured, luminous version of the self.

This idea echoes in scripture:

“The wise man built his house upon the rock” Matthew 7:24

This parable refers symbolically to the initiate who constructs his temple body upon a mineral-dense (rock-solid) foundation—one built from purified, conserved essence rather than squandered energy.

The Gnostics referred to this procreative seed, transformed into refined spiritual material, as the “salt of alchemy.” All twelve cell-salts (schuessler salts) vital for bodily regeneration -- are said to reside within the procreative energies and essences. The Gnostic teacher Samael Aun Weor warned against wasting this precious resource:

“Mastery is represented in the salt of the earth, which is in our sexual secretions.” (Samael Aun Weor, 1954

The earth, both symbolically and physically, serves as the negative pole in the energetic system of life. In yogic science, the negative pole is grounding, receptive, and stabilizing. The earth draws energy downward, rooting and anchoring the body’s bio-electrical systems.

For humans, this grounding is essential: it helps regulate bodily fluids, promotes ion exchange, and allows the procreative energies/essences to be metabolized and stored rather than dissipated. The waters of the body, including cerebrospinal fluid and lymph, are intimately linked to this polarity. Without the grounding influence of earth energy, these waters become unstable, and vital seeds -- our regenerative forces -- cannot take root.

As in the macrocosmic garden, the kind of seed sown and the soil into which it falls determines the harvest. So it is within the microcosmic body: the richness of internal soil dictates the quality of the cells and vitality produced.

As the salt of the procreative seed diminishes, the body becomes parched and dry, especially the brain, which relies on this fluid essence for optimal function. Without these internal waters, the brain becomes unreceptive to higher impressions -- a condition described metaphorically as the lack of heavenly dew.

HARVEST TIME

To prepare for “seeding periods” (i.e., the sacred secretion time phase) we can cultivate internal conditions conducive to growth. This means enriching our soil (saving our seed) so that our inner trees may blossom and our temples may light up with life and spiritual fire.

“Traditionally, stables are places where compost and fertile soil are created from hay and other organic substances. The Bibles Christmas stable was said to be in Bethlehem (Solar plexus/House of Bread). Similar to a traditional stable, the solar plexus is an airy place. The pneumogastric nerve (CNX) allows air to fill and circulate the organs and glands innervated by the solar plexus so that they can digest the food and drink that we consume and create ‘fertile soils’ or fuel for the body.”

Christmas Alchemy by Kelly-Marie Kerr

This transformation of hay into fertile soil mirrors the alchemical digestion in our own stomach and intestines -- vessels where life-sustaining minerals are extracted and prepared for cellular creation in the spleen (see Manger in Christmas Alchemy).

The earthworm, an archetype of soil regeneration, mirrors the role of our intestines, microcosmic organisms where digestion frees vital mineral salts from food and bodily secretions. These salts are then absorbed into the bloodstream and lymphatic system, building the body’s mineral base.

Without healthy digestion, the inner alchemy of ascension cannot proceed. Dr. George Carey cautioned that poor habits, such as alcohol consumption and gluttony, ferment the intestinal environment, ruining the seed:

“Alcoholic drinks, or gluttony that causes ferment-acid and even alcohol in the intestinal tract, [mean that] ‘No drunkard can inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.’”

Thus, stability, rootedness, nourishment, security, and belonging are all earth qualities, essential both physically and spiritually. When we practice Yoga with Soil, we attune to the wisdom of earth, transforming base matter into living gold, seed into fruit, and the self into a fertile ground for divine blossoming.

In this session, we focus on asanas that cultivate grounding, security, and stability, helping you to root into the present moment and build a steady base for both body and spirit.

These postures activate and nourish the root chakra (Muladhara) -- the energetic center of belonging, survival, and inner strength -- while also stirring the procreative seed within, fortifying your inner “soil” to support vitality, regeneration, and higher consciousness.

Through refined breath work (pranayama), we kindle the refiner’s fire -- gently awakening the subtle flame that transforms conserved energy into spiritual light. This breath will guide the seed essence upward, energizing the spine and illuminating the crown, opening the gates to clarity, peace, and inner illumination.

We also incorporate mudra and mantra practices to reinforce feelings of being rooted, worthy, and nourished -- honoring your body as sacred earth and your breath as the vehicle of divine alchemy.

"Affirmations and denials are tools for cultivating fertile soil in the mind, preparing it to receive spiritual truth. They set up new conditions in mind which are receptive to spiritual truths and ideas.”

Holy Spirit Baptism by Charles Fillmore

Come prepared to move slowly, breathe deeply, and leave feeling grounded yet uplifted -- anchored in earth, reaching for light.

In Light and Love always and in all ways,

KM
